About Girls Day Out
Girls Day Out was created to provide guidance, mentorship, and support for young girls in our community. Through meaningful connections, life skills development, and community engagement, we help youth build confidence, discover their potential, and develop the tools they need for a successful future.

Meet Our Founder
Ms. Tamalar Washington, born January 19, 1963, is a dedicated community leader, wife, and proud mother of four. With a passion for service and empowering others, she has spent years supporting her community through mentorship and education.
She is a Licensed Cosmetologist and the owner of Beauty & Image Salon, where she not only provides professional beauty services but also teaches the next generation valuable skills through cosmetology and natural hair care training.
Her vision for Girls Day Out was born from her desire to mentor young girls, provide positive guidance, and create opportunities for them to grow into strong, confident women.

Community Youth Mentorship
Girls Day Out provides mentorship opportunities that focus on building confidence, leadership skills, and positive decision-making for young girls.
Breast Cancer Awareness
We support community initiatives that promote education and awareness around breast cancer while honoring and supporting survivors.
Feeding At-Risk Children
Through community outreach initiatives, Girls Day Out helps provide meals and support to children facing food insecurity.
